Wedding Fair – Double Tree by Hilton, Cambridge

Doubletree Hilton Cambridge

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to tell you a bit about the recent wedding fair at the Double Tree by Hilton, Cambridge which was a lovely setting for a wedding with stunning views of the river.

I met some lovely brides and heard some great proposal stories, including a lovely couple who are finally getting married after a 25 year engagement! There were lots of couples planning 2017 weddings at a range of different venues across the area.

At the wedding fair I had my photo booth so here’s a few pictures of it in action recently! For more pics click here

My favourite suppliers from today included a lovely photographer called Lyndsey who is based in Hertfordshire and brings a gorgeous bubbly character to her work, which you can see through all her photos with some lovely family shots, great action shots and photos of the wonderful details which really make a wedding – details which I think are often missed in the photography. In her albums I loved seeing the wedding cake all cut up and looking delicious, I wanted to reach right in and grab a slice! She also loves shoes and seeing the photos of the shoes in the pre wedding shots was great – especially as a fellow shoe lover! Click here to see her page

I also met a supplier who I have worked weddings with before – Piano DJ – they combine the elegance of a piano played live with dinner or during the drinks reception with a fantastic DJ set in the evening. I love that they even have a gorgeous heart in lights in front of the DJ box – not just because of my heart obsession!¬†With a handful of DJ’s and pianists they cover a large area of the UK and are also really open to the music they play. I met the two lovely ladies from the Double Tree by Hilton – Sam the wedding planner was so helpful for all the couples both booked at the venue and still looking for a special place. They were also giving out bucks fizz and yummy cookies (I had to taste test to make sure!).

It was inspirational talking to Amanda co-founder of GAP Learning who run workshops to create personalised items which could be used for Save the Dates or really unique wedding favours. They run a not for profit organisation and have just set out on their wedding journey called She Loves Him Tho’. They have a beautiful vision of helping people through their creations.
