I love wedding fair season and spending time at lovely venues and getting the chance to meet you guys and talk weddings!
Evening wedding fairs are brilliant fun as we treat ourselves to a big lunch. We were recommended by a friend to try The Waffle House in St Albans and we were not disappointed! I might have had a chocolate milkshake a savoury and a sweet waffle (ok so I only managed about half the sweet one at the end) and it did make putting the photo booth up more effort than usual haha!
St Michaels Manor in St Albans, Hertfordshire is a gorgeous hotel venue, it has the features of a manor house with beautiful decoration as well as its own private lake, stunning grounds and beautiful rooms. After parking the car I took a stroll across the grounds and took in some of the stunning views of the venue. I love the autumnal colours of the trees, it made for a stunning walk and great photo opportunities.
This is the entrance which feels very grand, it has the stairs for the rooms and is also easy access to the wedding fair area. All the rooms are gorgeous including the newly refurbished toilets! It was lovely to see all the team Nicola, Lucy and Dan they took a sneaky pic in our photo booth.

The ladies bathroom is newly refurbished and looks stunning!
After setting up my photo booth I had a wander round the stands and I fell in love with these gorgeous flowers from the amazing Gilly Bean Flowers the colours are just perfect for the time of year and they have used some of my favourite flowers dahlias, snap dragons and hydrangeas plus they had mini pumpkins! I always love a good bit of foliage and the current trends towards succulents make me very happy!
These cakes from Emily Jane Cakes tasted as good as they looked! We may have had a taste or two – Mum has decided she is my chief cake taster!
It was fab to see Lord Cars drivers all dressed up with their hats on too!
More flowers were on display and I love the use of candles especially against the mirror, it was a beautiful display!
The catwalk show was put on by Prom to Bride and Cerimonia and it was lovely to see the models having fun … especially after the fashion show when they all got in our photo booth for some fab pics!!
Hayley Harp kept us entertained, harpists always fascinate me, there were hair trials being done by Hair by Amy Tidey and loads of amazing make up!
As always this trip to St Michaels Manor was lovely and I’m looking forward to going back soon!
